The meeting with Lilie Ferrari, Script look throught, location and camera framing plan

Monday 19th of February 2018

We meet with Lilie who told us that she liked our scripts and she mentioned a couple of things that we should remember the next time we gonna write a script:

1. Not to use too many beats
2. Write short dialogues
3. Write short actions

Later that day we looked through her edits of each script: https://screipttoscreen.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/fourth-workshop-with-lilie-ferrari.html

We have read all of them. Each character was read by another person.
Joel - was played by Alex
Melinda- was played by Nadia
Jess- was played by Elie
Rosemary - was played by Lauren
Harvey - was played by Daniel

Majority of the characters with expectasion of one, were read by people from crowdfunding team so our script writing team could hear the dialogues and see if those will work.
Afterwards we discussed our opinions, but it felt like Lilie did not want to hear any of them.

Tuesday 20th of February 2018

We met with Eye film member to look at their cameras and learn how to use them.
Our camera and sound people, along with the directors and our tutor planned different framings. The rest of the group sat down in a circle, playing specyfic roles.

It helped our team to visualise how it may look like and so get ready for the proper rehearsals.
I liked that we were not just sitting there for the camera to decide on shots, but we were also reading the scripts and trying to get into the role. The camera could try to capture different frames followed by emotions written in the script.

Leter that day we had a chance to look at the room in which we will be filming. As art director I decided to take photos of the room from every angle possible, to plan the set up.
